2018 - November fire season

One of sweet parts about living in NorCal is that we have warmer fall temps with the soft warm wind that sweeps through our mountains. That sweet warm wind is also the source of much agony these last couple years and we have learned that Fire Watch is a very real and scary reality.

November has always been a sweet month, people start talking about being grateful, we head out onto the hills to make sure we catch the incredible skyline while it’s still warm enough to do in shorts and without the rain ... sometimes the doggies even get to go ( if morty and I can stop fighting about who holds what leash long enough for mom to agree)

Being up in the sky with the birds is really a treat and there are so many places to explore and we try to catch it before the smoke fills the sky and it hurts to breath just on our walk to school.

Stuck inside? Don’t worry it can be torture in there too. Mom signed us up for a 2 sessions mother daughter puberty class ... I kid you not. Does she not know that I will be humiliated by all this in middle school... in the flesh all over again?! Torture. Well, at least I’ll be ahead of the game?

Morty deals with being stuck inside a little differently than I. Nightly gym sessions are necessary for that little hamster.

big doings for Morty is also getting his expander off. Yay for less gagging at the dinner table for sure. Yuck!

When the fires finally are under control, we. Rejoice! And so do the trees.

The end of November is my favorite.... we get to head home to St Louis and see all my peeps.
Who doesn’t love a trip that’s dedicated to playing, eating, celebrating, eating and being goof balls.

Shark teeth twinning!

Dinner w/ our favoites

Visiting Dad's office

A trip to the City Museum is always fun but nearly gives mom a freak attack with all the places to hide & get hurt.

Thanksgiving silliness is my favorite!!

Morty and his cheezy grin are just too much! Make it stop!

The elders are the best. They really make it feel like home xoxo

An added bonus this year was meeting up with the Forney’s before their STL family extravaganza was under way. Such a treat!!

Heading home is always bittersweet, we love the people so much but our hearts are home in the west coast.

Making school models with friends is the best way to get back into the swing of things at school

And..... as usual, the best or last is babysitting sweet Indi. Who doesn’t love puppy breath. Even with dagger teeth attached.

Now THATS the best way to spend a chilly evening in The Bubble!!
