2018 June juggle

It all spear heads into June. All the planning, all the packing, all the school celebrations, all the travel.... everything. Mom might feel super celebrated in May (you’re welcome) but June is where we put her to the test. June is where mom really has to dig deep and take the extra vitamins to keep the train a chugging.

And don't forget the daily's - like hair cuts and final baseball practices!

In St. Louis, school let out at the end of May which marked the first breath between school and summer, but not anymore. California schools like to really stretch it on out half way into June. We start partying like school is out June 1st but really we are just ticking days off a calendar at that point. We have every kind of in school celebration one can think of and let me tell you when I say I don’t mind... the parents feel a little overwhelmed with field trips, class celebrations, auction parties, etc.. but we are living it up! Let the art projects come home - its time to show off my masterpieces!!

Art parties, birthday parties, baseball parties, class parties, going away parties and then it’s game on!

And of course the last day of school party and stepping up program!
If you know me at all, you know I don’t like the spotlight > so when we did our little routine mom nearly fell on the floor with excitement. We killed it💕

Morty did pretty well too on his sweet hand made guitar. Look at him rock it OUT!!

Then, to celebrate even more the Tyreens came out to see our new hood and check out all that the NorthBay has to offer. It was sooooo much fun to have them in our neck of the woods .... literally!

Playing {The Ground is Lava} will never be the same again.

Father’s Day of course had to be in the Mix too so we got to work being as creative as we could. Success! I wish we could have Nown and GrandDad Larsh in the mix too but we tell funny stories about them to mark the occasion and that will have to do : )

This is GrandDad Larsh - Mom talks about him and "The Main Gorilla" all the time. Sometimes we even watch videos of him in Youtube. How cool is that?!!

Of course we couldn't let our own Dad go without some love too.

Then comes the very hard but fun part of summer. AWAY CAMP!

… you see, I have this love/hate relationship with camp. I love to hang with Maeve, do all the activities, be silly, and eat what I want but what I really want is to sleep I’m own bed and sleep in clean pajamas every night and not have dirt on my floors. I think hat I like most about camp is getting to Minnesota with The Frisellas, spending the night, the drive and the setup. This year I’m going for a whole 3 weeks!

The cool part about going to for so long is that Morty is going to be across the lake for 2 of those weeks. He’s going to camp too! Im a little worried about how he’s going to deal with all the newness but he doesn’t really love to be clean as much as I do and our parents won’t nag him to eat fruits and veg so maybe it will be his happy place? Fingers crossed. He will have Theo as his comfort animal … that’s got to be a bonding experience, right?

Let the Minnesota vacationing begin! These two are hilarious together.
I hope they have beds right next to each other at camp.

Uh OH!!! Mortano did NOT settle into camp the way that everyone hoped.
It took him 10 days to really feel like he couldn't catch his breath but he DID IT!
