July 2017 - We are Nor Cal Residents !!

Nor Cal Residents!

We can't quite believe it but we are now officially Northern California residents. To say its bitter sweet just doesn't explain it well enough. What's not to like about the San Francisco area?! (aside from the cost of living, Obvi!) The photo above is one of Morty and I scouting out our new front yard. We deemed this Nono's rock, as we could totally see him having a little sit down break to enjoy watching our very crazy squirrels on the squirrel highway. (Macho's favorite past time)

As soon as I made it home after camp, I soon realized that Morty and Dad had a precise schedule of cycling, dog walking/loving and getting in the way was not advised. Gggrrrr!
You should have seen their cycling tans!! Muppet was very much in favor of a cuddle in the sun after said walks - clearly he has adapted well to his new surroundings.

The best part about living in Cali so far is that we are back in the same state as Magtoddy!!
Mr. Todd did a race over the Golden Gate Bridge (Dad's "Girlfriend" aka GiGi) within weeks of us moving here so we were super excited to cheer him on! Way to go Mr. Todd. The two of them make everything F U N !!!!!

Speaking of FUN, Mom and I decided that we needed to moisturize our lips after all the dust from the unpacking settled - literally & figuratively!! We look pretty great with these Lip Masks, don't ya think?!! I HEART Sephora!!

Of Course summer isn't officially under way until we get to Cape Cod! Home of the Great White is for real these days. People talk about the movie Jaws being made there and how scary that movie was - well, actually having at Shark Tracker App on your parent's phone is actually IRL scary!! Thank goodness Dad has taken a break from his open water swimming or he might be bait!

Morty is a strange fellow, but you know we love him. I'm not sure why, but he loves his bed in Cape Cod sooooo much that he decided he had a need to get cozy right after Mom made the beds after we arrived. Maybe he's afraid of Land Sharks??

And so begin the Summer Birthday Festivities!! Gamma goes first a few days after we arrive.
For her 2017 birthday she told us we could choose the style of cake, as long as it didn't have red dye or chocolate. Vanilla frosted, angel food cake with Monster Googly eyes it is!!

HEY MOM LOOK!!!

Between birthday celebrations I really like to work on my back bends. Mom told me I should keep my fly trap shut or I might get a green head bite on my tongue. Green heads are THE WORST!!!

First things first - we head to the beach and see how much we have grown in comparison to height of where the old timey bike is hung on Nono's old garage. Apparently it belonged to the old lady who used to live in Nono & Gamma's house a loooooooooong time ago. Morty has proclaimed thsi bike to be "hundreds of years old".
After a long day on the beach we were invited into Gamma's house to hang out. Morty immediately became a bundled up worm on the rug so he could be nearest to the one who truly gets him - Aunt Martha. Those two are like peas in a pod. It just goes to how you how strong genetics can be.
Speaking of genetics - The days are finally closing in on the best day of year - my BIRTHDAY!!!!
Mom let us use her phone to check the the tides on the way home from camp .... we MAY have gotten a little sidetracked thinking about all the ways we are going to ruin moms yearly birthday photo...

Am I funny or what?!!! I totally crack myself up. I had TEN nailed down!!!

This is what TEN looks like
July 24th is THE best day of the year!!

Yes, it did rain on my birthday but I still love this photo. The super serious shaka cracks me up every time. When are we going back to Hawaii again?

AAAAAAh ah ah ah Stayin allliiiveeeeeee!!

Because my birthday is a month long celebration, we decided the Friday of that week should be celebrated with snow cones in my honor as well. Hawaiian ice might just be a vehicle for sugar water but I still try and convince Mom that its really a great source of hydration after a long day at camp.

Over the weekend the weather was kind of dreary but that's ok - we spent hours at Pectin Heaven looking for mini crabs. We have now renamed it Mini Crab Heaven based on the hundreds of little arms that pop out of the sand in the tide pools.

Dad was in St. Louis, or San Francisco.... well, somewhere that started with an S - so we did a lot of touring around to different spots on our bikes in his honor. Ocean State Job Lot (whatever that name means!) did NOT disappoint... stay tuned for one of Dad's mega birthday gifts!!

August is just around the corner!
