MARCH!!!!!! (2017)

March!!!

In St. Louis, March is a month where we are all desperately tired of the cold but also slightly giddy that our 2 weeks of Spring Break is right around the corner. Undoubtedly we will get at least one more snow fall and while we all want to pretend its magical - we are OVER  it! We need sun and have a dire need to get outside and get rid of some pent up energy.

Ever since I had been to my friend Harper's birthday at Pole Position, Morty couldn't stop talking about going there and  tearing up the track. One a super frigid day Mo finally looked up the height requirement and Morty just barely made it. he couldn't have been more excited!

We suited up and jumped into our rides! Morty was first out #61 and I was right behind him #57. No turning back now, we  are going to cream them all!

I was in the lead and everyone behind me was sooo mad! They actually thought I was going to let them pass!! Sure, I was driving somewhat like a Grandma, but you can call me safety Sue. Mortanno was really taking it safe - not sure how he needed up in the back but I think he might have been so far back he needed up in the front! Anyhow, It was super fun and I can't wait to do it again!!

The Dog park is by one of our favorite places to go and  once there was a break in the weather - see Morty's attire: Shorts and NO jacket! We decided that the pups would love to go have a doggie playdate and whoop it up with other furry friends. As it turns out Muppet doesn't really like other dogs, Dad says that Macho is all the dog that Muppet can handle and doesn't have any patience left for other dogs in his life so the growling/barking is just post traumatic stress disorder. I truly want to believe this is nonsense but it is curious.

We tried to help Muppet acclimate but all he really seem to want to do is jump up on the bench and steal pets from other dog owners while barking at their dogs to get away. Not exactly the friendliest way to enter a dog park so Muppet had a time out in the car and Macho went wild playing with Morty, trying to get on the stump with him. I wonder if Muppet thought it was a good time, we can't wait to come back... san Muppetito (sad face) At least he made one friend, right?

Wednesday Night are for indoor Soccer.
I love Wednesdays nieces it means I get to hang with Maeve after school, jabbering about nothing and snuggling close. Morty loves it because he loves any kind of sport and Theo is a best bud.

Some night are silly and those are my favorite kind. Every once in a while Mom snaps a funny moment and we hang on to them , replaying them - knowing our Wednesday night rendezvous are going to be few and far between come next school year : (

--------------------------------------------

This next part of the Post really deserves it own post but Mom says that we already split March into two parts for Spring break so maybe we just cram it into this one and it will be just as special.

It's my Pusheen 1/2 Birthday!!

Yes yes, I know. My 1/2 birthday was really in January but Mom kept on finding reasons to delay my happiness and push it further away. FINALLY we found a date that worked for Maeve and I to have a Sushi, Pusheen sleepover!!
First things first! We popped on over to Maeve's favorite sushi place in Webster Groves, Sushi Station. She has a friend who works there that her family has known forever- Poowee (or at least that's how it sounds) She is soon nice, they even made us Bunny shrimp sushi - soooo cute, right?
We ate EVERYTHING and then some. I love their tempura shrimp!!

As soon as we got to our house Mom has two surprises for us:

#1.) Morty was off on a date night with Dad to his first ever Blues Hockey Game
#2.) WE had head to toe Pusheen attire to adorn for our movie night

What is a PUSHEEN you ask? Well, This cat is the coolest squishiest little stuffy around.
★ ☆  About Pusheen the cat. ★ ☆
Breed: Domestic shorthair
Coat Type: Grey Tabby
Age: All 9 lives left
Sex: Female

We needed to have some time to digest our sushi so we decided to jump into Movie watching  right away and save the cake for our intermission. We were snug as bugs in a rug!!

How cute is this Cake??!! It was so cute I didn't want to eat it!
Mom called up our favorite french bakery a few weeks ahead and ordered this adorable cake.
La Pattisserie Chouquette is the same bakery who made my Camping cake last year and that cake was amazing. Simone made that cake herself which is why it was detailed. Sadly this one didn't come out so detailed and the cake wasn't very yummy but at least it looked cute? It was a bummer and we will try again another time. I yearning to go back for a high tea!

Maybe it was best we didn't eat the cake - we went straight to sleep like little angels and creepy Mom took a photo of us to capture the adorable sight of us.

Morty's Night ........>

Morty and Dad had a pretty awesome night too. Morty is now officially a true Blues fan and talk about that game incessantly.
Needless to say it was cold but Daddy helped Morty out by giving him his favorite hat to keep him warm. Such a good Dad!

You see this sweet shot of Morty and Dad? Turn out that Mrs Dooley was right behind them!
She was so excited to see them there and  heard about how Morty really wanted a Jersey that she went and bought him one!! To this Day Morty wanders around in this jersey with a huge grin on his face. Such a sweet gift!

Zamboni LOVE!!
Morty got a puck they actually played with! Definitely a night that he will never forget.
Did you know it was Daddy's first Hockey game ever too?!! GO BLUES!!
So poor Maeve had been not exactly in the best of health before she came over for the sleepover and then raging me with me just exhausted her. The next morning we had to make it to Theo & Ben's 7th birthday party way out to the Southern Sky Zone and Maeve decided she needed to get a tad more shut eye. I didn't mind, I like it when she snuggles with me.

Its Party time!! can you feel the energy zipping through our bodies?!! and YES we are still wearing the shirts that became pajamas that became shirts again. Clearly the text on the shirt was telling!
That or it was the artificial smell of cake & dirty socks in the air that was killing our mojo.

Needless to say Ben & Theo didn't mind that we were low on energy - they had a fabulous time, as did Morty!!

Did someone say Schnucks Cake?! Just what the doctor ordered, now I am ready to eat!!

------------------------------------------

Dad was really into gross bug facts that morning - he tried to kill my appetite but I persevered!

Afterward we all went home and just took it easy and let all the cake & pizza make their way through our digestive tracts and had a very light dinner. The following morning we were hungry enough to eat an OX so Mom and Dad agreed that there was no better a place to fill up pre swimming lessons than at The Original Pancake House. IT IS SO GOOD! I'm sure you know this by now but Morty is picky, about most thing but especially about food and even HE will take down 14 silver dollar pancakes and bacon here like its nothing.

Making slime Goo!!

One of my favorite things about living in St. Louis for so long is that we have friends from all stages of my life. I went to two different preschools, Morty went to three! So we have made lots of fun friends along the the way. Every once in a while (and not enough in my opinion) we get together as group and play while the parents jabber on. These nights are super fun because that's usually when Mom lets her guard down and you can pretty much as her to do anything and she will leave it up to the Mom of the house we are hanging out with.

This time with was slime Goo making with The Poncirolis and the Tourvilles!!
Two of my favorite families under one roof! They both love dogs and the The Poncirolis have a gazillion animals - Mrs. P loves animals like Mom does but her husband doesn't get to say No. Ha!

We all make slime goo while the dogs ran around the house like nutballs. I never knew if I was chasing them or they were chasing me, it was awesome!!

Ben is an excellent slime goo maker and he had to help us all fix our recipes.

Hannah is one of my most favorite girl-friends of Morty's. She lets me hold all of her animals and she is super fun and giggly. Plus she can do really cool gymnastic tricks that I am dying to learn!

It was one of those nights you wish you could replay over and over again!! #TimeWellSpent

Stay tuned for the 2nd half of March when we head off to Spring break!!
